COST IS ABOUT A WASH WITH USING FOSSIL FUEL NOW (ELECTRICITY IS EXPENSIVE) AND THE POOR HAVE TO SPEND EXTRA TIME TO CHARGE CARS.

Since the poor and middle class in the UK do not have garages for private charging, some want the tax lowered on electricity supplying public chargers. I think it is a good idea but it still doesn't compensate them for the extra time compared with pumping petrol.
