BTW, if "we" did not exempt the Pfizer, Modern and JnJ from issues with the vaccines, then we would still be in Phase III trials with perhaps 1,000,000 more deaths. (rough numbers... one article says 20x more and I believe one pandemic took 30M lives in the past.

I see it (vaccine approval with liability waivers) as society took the risk and those companies don't get to make a lot of money until several years later when they can prove they are safe and effective enough for the insurance companies to pay for the shots.
