I have a very long term friend who I trained marathon running with for two decades with.

At the age of 18, he went to work for XOM.

XOM sponsored his college degree.

Over all those long runs, he told me about his work at XOM.

His only investment was maxing out his 401K PLUS a well funded pension fund from XOM.

In his 40's his wife fell in love with another man and they had a divorce.

His only desire was to keep all of his XOM stock.

I introduced him to his now long time wife. They both are happily married and retired.

They live in the Austin Hill Country on a rural lot with a hill top view - beautiful place.

I bought XOM with almost an employee like confidence, having heard years of their operating philosophy.

In 2020 and 2021 I traded Cohu for XOM (better than one for one) and sold my BRKS and traded into more shares of XOM than I originally had in BRKS.

It will take one heck of a blowoff top for me to sell any shares of XOM.

Gonna buy old Chevies with the dividends till my garage is full. Then probably build a bigger garage. LOL
