They only had $500, yes, it was loong ago..so, the redhead went to town far away to buy a bull.
She found one for $499, and only had a dollar left over...so she sent a one word telegram to her blonde friend.. to come and retrieve herself and the bull..
She sent 'Comfortable'...the telegraph operator asked if that was enuf?...She replied, well, my friend is a blonde, and reads slowly..so that is sufficient.
The operator asked how is that?
She replied...com for ta bull
*reminds me of yrs ago, was traveling and was down to $8...needed more monay to last another month..again, loong ago...I had wisely left $200 back home, in the days of more personal banking..I sent a 3 word telegram, which took all of my $8... Wire $200 Venice.... they figured out to send it tome in care of the local American Express office in Venice, where I retrieved it....Don't spose one can do that, these days |
