You missed the point. $2 an hour in China. Move the mfg. to the U.S. $20 and hour. Simple. Nothing to do with wages plus or minus in U.S. It's U.S. cost vs China cost. And yes. Not handling Covid properly and in a timely manor was costly. We came out of Covid with HUGE demand and supply side trashed. I'm not sure the second Covid rescue plan was needed, but no one wanted to take the chance of doing nothing. And remember the tariffs. 200% on lumber from Canada, housing cost were bound to go up. So, YES. I believe a case could be made that the inflationary cycle had started under Trump.
