As an aside, I am not sure that a country is a better backer of a fiat currency than a corporation or a conglomerate. Yes, major countries such as the US or the UK do an ok job of that. But the majority of government suck at it. As yourself, would you prefer to own a currency that is managed by Argentine, Turkey, Greece, or even Italy - or would you prefer one that is managed by and accepted at Amazon, Walmart, Alibaba, Meli, and a few others?
Truthfully, I'm not sure about my response to that. Obviously, the worst emerging market countries are useless as economic protectorates. But, I would also be just as concerned about allotting my wealth into a coin managed by a single corporation. That's a lot of power for one person/entity. Especially since many of the best companies in the world 100 years ago no longer exist. So that would be a very difficult decision for me.
If only there was some type of alternative where you could have an digital coin that is unhackable that is universally accepted around the world.
