Good points. Don't forget they are also reducing their balance sheet which means the markets have to absorb more of our soaring Federal debt. That will keep pressure on rates even if they "pause" raising the Fed Funds rate.

They've made significant progress, maybe $0.5T, but it has to fall another $5T to get where it was before the pandemic.

I'm not sure what power Kevin McCarthy gave up to the conservatives but I doubt they will be printing money like the far left AOC/Warren/Sanders/Waters wanted and succeeded in getting Biden to approve. The Fed may have to reduce their rate of QT to counter effects of government shutdowns.

My guess is volatility continues.
