I recall a perhaps apocryphal story abut an earlier President (Harrison?) who came back to his boarding house late from his inauguration. Diinner'd been served, the plates cleaned, and he was SOL.

It was only about 25 years back that the Swiss let the ladies begin voting. Wasn't a big deal. They had tradition and the rule of settled law.

I suspect it would be a pretty good thing if most of us could ignore and/or just laugh at those bums.
