I've heard famous people often are mistakenly identified as other famous people. That must hurt. Oh wow. Must be awful. I only had one Major Experience. Many, many years ago in New York. Went with a date to a chic restaurant that didn't take reservations. Friday or Saturday night, I don't remember. There were THOUSANDS of people at the bar. My date immediately asked how long the wait would be. As I went off to consign my coat I heard the maitre d' say: "an hour and 15 minutes". I returned from the coat check place and suddenly they were all over us. Gave us a table for four, free drinks, the whole nine yards. I thought Date had tipped munificently, but he was as bewildered as I was. Would STILL like to know who I was supposed to be.
