Kirk, How much of the tax collection shortfall in 2023 is due to the storm-related tax holiday given to practically every county in CA? I have tax due on my 2022 return, as well as estimated taxes due in Apr, Jun, Sep, and don't intend to pay any of them until the new Oct 16 deadline. I have heard that part of the CA state budget deficit calculation is complicated by having to estimate what the eventual collections will be in Oct.
