Yes, China fits the bill for all of the listed factors, but we don’t live in the 20th Century.
China has a big data and a machine intelligence economy supporting autocracy. Is cyber authoritarianism compatible with success? Do the listed factors matter? Is it going to be different this time?

(1) there is far less resentment of foreign influences in China than, say, in USA, at this juncture
(2) powerful single but useful party might be an advantage to powerful nut use-less uni-party, at this juncture
(3) as to well-developed and overwhelming security apparatus I need not to say much, especially now, at this juncture
(4) xenophobia, at this juncture, imagined by MSM but not reflecting the truth, at least re China

it is possible that the conflict is less about autocracy vs democracy especially as efficacious autocracy vs imaginary democracy, but about rejuvenated civilisation states vs return to decline civilisation states

I understand where your questions are coming from because I know what MSM have been saying, but I am suspecting and with good reasons, that the MSM narration is wrong to very extremely wrong, for top of the mind be that Xi wakes up in the morning, along with the rest of the technocracy, and asks, "how do I expand the middle class" and does.
Unclear to me what DC is trying to do.
