Holly,

I finished high school in 1955, and bought as many records as I could afford in those days -- not too many. I recall the "Hi-FI" emergence from the scratchy, brittle 78s my older brother had during the war. I am digging here, but as I remember the new 33s cost about 5 bucks, a fortune in those days, when high school dropouts made $35 per week in menial jobs. I think they were packaged in cardboard envelopes and the disk itself was in a paper sleeve. I don't recall any shrink wrap or cellophane. The 45s just came in a paper envelope. Sorry, I don't recall any sticky tape on them.

By the way, WHAT THE HELL DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH SLICK BOINKING MONICA? Just thought I'd throw that in <g>.

Jack
