How is this idea for a Senate trade?

Democratic California Senator Dianne Feinstein and Republican Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell agree to go on paid leave and not vote for the remainder of their terms.

Why?

In CA, our racist Governor stupid vowed to appoint a black woman to the position but all who are available are far too liberal for him to appoint to replace Feinstein and still have any hope for Newsom of being president.

Adam Schiff, House chair of the House Intelligence Committee, is hated by the GOP (he went after Trump) wants the job, but his penis and skin color disqualify him from Newsom's consideration despite that sort of discrimination being illegal according to my reading of the Constitution...

I'm unsure of politics in Kentucky and they probably don't want to lose the power of McConnell's minority whip position, but... neither of these "public servants" with decades of experience have the mental capacity to be leaders in the Senate.
