The opening in the paper wrapper was
oriented differently than the opening in the cardboard cover, keeping the record from
sliding out. EUREKA !!

That's what passed for "high tech" in those days. I remember when the first plastic was used for knobs in automobiles. It was brittle and cracked after a year or so. People wanted their wooden knobs back on the doors and dashboard. It's been an interesting time to live in.
