The only thing I can figure is the DNC is using him as a stopgap, sewer plug, to keep the far left crazies out of office. Just yesterday I noted governor sleezy, er Newsom, said on several news shows that he isn't going to run against Biden and thinks Biden is great and accomplishing a lot. He was actually extremely complimentary which made me wonder if he got into someone's medicine cabinet or was back to drinking that led him to sleep with his best friend's wife... It tells me some back door deals were made to get Newsom a shot in 2028 as a "moderate" democrat... (compared to AOC, Warren, Sanders, etc.) who will probably go on the campaign trail to support Biden...
