You can tell dishonest people when they blame Trump for the deficit during COVID.

The BLUE STATES shut down... no tax revenue for many and then to get people to stay home, the Feds paid them to not work. Here, even when everyone was going back to work, the teachers didn't want to return to work so our education suffered and parents couldn't both go back to work as one had to stay home with kids (if they were lucky to be two parent families.) Thank goodness the tech stocks prospered during COVID and the recovery so capital gains helped us for awhile but this year we are deficit spending again in California.

I remember thinking at the time you could make a good conspiracy theory call that it was done to get Trump out of office since his using Democrat talking points, mainly closing the borders and taxing imports, was working to help the middle class and especially people of color. They had to make things up like him being a racist (he isn't ... he's just a narcistic bully who handled those charges poorly)....

Anyway, I chuckle when Biden claims to have record employment growth and other things that are a result of blue states letting people work again on his watch.
