I sure appreciate your take on this, especially from the dealership perspective.

On the local news last night they said finding places to put charging stations in lower income areas is hard so they will put them in libraries. Wow... one of the few safe places low-income kids & seniors can get wifi and help on schoolwork or other aspects of life will now have to compete with parking spaces for EVs...

Here in our stupid town where many of us have huge yards, they want to convert library parking to a dog park! Why can't these dog owners let their dogs run in their yards or a friend's yard for a play date?

I love dogs but you constantly hear of aggressive older dogs attacking and sometimes killing smaller dogs... why do I have to pay for it by giving up some other city service like the long promised swimming pool?

Circling back... someone converted a large lot next to a gas station and a high-density apartment building here into what looks like a charging station, but the chargers have been under wraps (plastic) for months. The schools all have charging stations too... My buddy that loves his Tesla (I keep convincing him to buy better things... this was an upgrade from a Nissan Leaf that he got nearly for free after all the tax incentives available for rich folks through leasing plus the lower rate he is charged for electricity, subsidized by the rest of us.)

He claims it is easy to drive from here to Canada or Death Valley as the car plans the route to chargers and he has a rest while waiting. Every four to six hours or so to rest is plenty of range. I told him he'll soon be competing with the "cake eaters" soon now that Tesla is letting others use its super chargers.

Anyway, he does it to save money and not have to deal with messy auto maintenance. If he was concerned about climate change and leaving a cooler planet for his kids, he'd not fly to India or Africa once a year or even more often... he's in India now on a tiger and elephant photo safari plus visiting family.
