When it comes to commodities, I've found that I get more accurate results by charting the 2nd continuous contract instead of the first (e.g. CL2! rather than CL1!). The 2nd contract is less impacted by the roll and tends to be less noisy, though volume indicators on it don't work well. PL seems to be doing better than PA. If I were to make a guess, I'd say that is b/c PA's main use is in ICE autos and it can be readily replaced with PL. Given that its main producer is Russia, I think most major companies decided to do away with the risks and just use PL instead.
