(D) is tricky. How much the top 1% own because of the wonderful system we have decides how much you want them to pay. Sure, the poor could have also done better under the system, but they didn’t. None of them would have have done anywhere close to what they did here if they were born and stayed somewhere else.
Some of us here maybe among the top 1% and I bet we are paying a majority of that % you cite. The very rich like to bundle themselves with us. I think USA tax system needs to go to higher taxes for the very rich. They were provided a lot of workers like us by the system.
