As a young teenager I stayed an uncle Lewis's farm one summer for a week or two to work with him for $15/hr building grain bin floors he was building for the Co-op store which had a gas station and lumber yard. Something he said to me was "When I say jump, you jump. You don't ask 'how high' ." At lunch we would drive into town and go to the diner where I would a Hot Turkey Sandwich which came on a plate with mashed potatoes, lots of gravy, and mixed vegetables.
