Sounds nice Bob! It sounds like you're building a palace to enjoy for a long time!

I have Milgard's Low-E windows and they use a coating that to the UV looks like a mirror but is transparent to visible light. The double panes use argon gas for extra thermal insulation. My only gripe is after 15 years two of them let some water vapor in and need to be replaced as the water molds and has a green tint. I think they first leaked several years ago and I've just been too busy but it is on my To Do list to get them replaced. I believe they have a life-time warranty but I have to pay the installer. One is in a room where it is seldom used and the other is in my living room where it now looks worse than some dust so it is higher on my priority list.

milgard.com.

I'm getting and seeing a TON of advertising from Anderson windows... they must charge 50% extra to pay for it all. I wonder if Consumer Reports has done a study on which brands are the best....
