I hear what you are saying...

You are talking a very large number of stocks.

I'm talking 10-12 Max.

Different ways to skin a cat. There is no right or wrong.
You have a process or you don't.

The sizing structure is dramatically different.

You minimize shot selection.

My Trade Portfolio maximizes it...

BUT

THAT might not really be true.

How do you build a position...

I suspect we both cut losers

AND

If a starter position goes our way, ..
We build it to some predetermined size.

ANd

Let it run.

I never looked at QRTEP or UROY as a "trade"

They are both fundamental investments based on Macro Economic conditions

Not trades.

The difference is time horizon.

With respect to my comment on Sectors being worth 50% of returns...

Retail and Commodities were getting no love.

All I am saying is no matter how you choose your stock...

Long or Short

Know if it is a short term Trade or an investment.

Be aware of the sector.
Is it loved.
Is it hated.
Is it meh...

There are 11 sectors.

At any given time 3 can be Bullish 3 can be Bearish and 2 meh...

And

It is a Meh market.

I'm just saying if you are aware of the sectors bias/lean...

It can give you an an edge, long or short side...

Avoid the Meh.

Cheers,
