RR more than interrupted the Browns, he effectively ended the political careers of both, "Pat" in 1966 by taking the guvship and son Jerry in 1982 when RR recruited Wilson and campaigned extensively for him. (Although Jerry is now running for mayor of Oakland).

Btw, The LBJ documentary on PBS was not that great. It was primarily old stuff from about 1990. They had Robert Dalleck whose version of history has since been thoroughly discredited by Robert Caro.
They did, however, seem to accuse LBJ as more than wanting both Kennedy's dead. And then they both were. |
