Deswell Industries(DSWLF) reports 78 cents per share

for the December Q. This is significantly higher than the guys on the Deswell thread were expecting for this Chinese micro-cap maker of boards, plastics, and some assembly. Hard to see the impact of the Asian crisis in these numbers. The company will earn $2.50-2.60 for their fiscal year ending March 31 and the stock is trading at 18 3/4 today (up 1 3/4).

Also SMOD apparently had some poor forward looking statements in their conference call last night, and has sold off over 5 bucks this morning. SMOD expects poorer results in the current Q due to some "glitches" in their new products.
