| | | Your jar is very full of GRATITUDE on this day of Thanksgiving.
Of course, if people want to show real (TM) appreciation, then they could add some of their own charts, thoughts, targets, etc. in addition to sending you tips.
Maybe I should suggest a tip jar to the owner to share 80:20 or something, but I remember trying to do TIPS at Suite101 back in the 1990s and people only made fun of me or tried to hit me with credit card fees by paying $0.01. Basically, Google and others have trained people to work for free while they collect the majority, steal the best content ideas, and trickle out enough to make you hope you become a huge "influencer" while most fail. Heck, I post all sorts of free content and some of my followers used to reward me by clicking ads but that ended over a decade ago as most put up ad blockers and asking readers to click ads can get your advertising cut off since they "assume" all the clicks are fake.
The biggest crook is Amazon. In the 1990s I was asked to set up "online stores" and I got 15% on books, mostly about investing. Like any good small store, you help customers, so they return and buy from you again and again. Amazon eventually cut off some of my best customers, so I didn't get commissions from their purchases! Then of course they cut the percentage to I think 4% now...
So, good luck with that TIP jar! LOL |
