It's cold where I am.. Buddy who lives further in the boonies than me got a Generac propane setup last year.. His area is very prone to power failures.. swears by it.. mine is also but typically shorter duration.. No NG but I would be leery of pipe disruptions anyway.. although when I lived in city I loved NG heat and cooking.. Anyway I am going with propane for home and cottage .. planning for summer install.. I cook with propane setup at home already.. Your idea would be good for my sister outside of LA..
