The indicator signals the start of a potential new bull market when it moves from a level of below 40% (indicating an oversold market) to a level above 61.5% within any 10-day period.
Hopefully it happens - but it’s not a done deal yet. The idea is that the 10 day moving average of the advance /decline numbers goes from a deeply oversold level - to a very overbought (61.5%) within 10 days. When it happens, it shows some big underlying strength. Right now we have the setup - and we’ll see what happens within 10 trading days.

There are many breadth thrust indicators nowadays. This one is the oldest, developed by Marty Zweig several decades back. I remember I first read about it in his book - of all places, on the beach on the Outer Banks, NC. Must have been in the late 90’s.
