I was hesitant to respond to your post because I don't want to debate politics. You must have missed the <g> at the end of my post. You're a decent guy but your political posts are about Trump are based on emotion.

To your point about Canada making the US "liberal"
  • Canada has a population of roughly 40 million
  • Roughly 17 million people voted in '21 and not all of them are liberal (source - elections Canada). They wouldn't be a single state - their provinces would become states. That would not tilt our elections.
We will not invade or assimilate Canada against their will. However, the discussion about a merger between the two countries has been tabled and should be discussed. It makes sense for a variety of reasons.
  • Cultural similarities make it the best merger opportunity on earth
  • They have an abundance of natural resources that they lack the funds and manpower to extract.
  • North America would control almost 30% of the global fresh water supply.
  • The United states does more GDP in 1 months than Canada does in a year.
  • We already protect them so fortifying the additional border would come at minimal cost.
  • The alternative is protecting a 5000 mile leaky border that we share. <----why do that when we can tighten the entire continent.
  • These people would prosper and be safer by being part of the United States. The location is outstanding for military purposes
  • North America would control almost 30% of the global fresh water supply.
  • They've become a leaky ship where it comes to Chinese imports, drugs and the Chinese population explosion are just a few of the issues. Those issues eventually trickle down to the United States. <--- That may be the single biggest reason for the tariffs. We can put an end to that and everyone will be better for it.
Greenland Makes sense for many of the same reasons.
  • We already patrol and protect them so the defense cost is minimal.
  • They have 50,000 residents that we can easily absorb in out social security system
  • It's a treasure trove of minerals that can't be accessed and worked with their population.
  • These people would prosper and be safer by being part of the United States. The location is outstanding for military purposes
