A_G, Russia does not want Ukraine. in 2022 Ukraine and Russia were close to a deal. In that deal Ukraine would agree to respect the independence of the Russian speaking providence called the Donbas. Ukraine was bombing that area and killing many Russians that resided there. The UK sent Johnson to Ukraine and he demanded that Zelinsky terminate all negotiations. Then VP Harris goes down to Ukraine and said it would be a good idea for Ukraine to join NATO. Recall Russia agreed to break up if NATO agreed that Ukraine would be a neutral country, Ukraine agree to denuclearization and not ever join NATO. And the Minsk agreement was not honored. And to add insult, Merkel publicly said NATO lied and would never honor the Minsk agreement.

So now Russia will enter into negotiations and will probably hold firm that all occupied sections of Ukraine will remain under Russian jurisdiction.

People forget that Russia agreed not install missiles in Cuba if Kennedy agreed to remove the Jupiter missiles in Turkey which he did. Ukraine was to be a buffer between Europe and Russia with no NATO missile installations.
