Maybe it’s best to wait until SPX crosses back above some landmark level - like its 200dma - before looking for more exposure. That is, essentially, what I am doing. There are very few bullish options - Gold (at least until a few days ago), some bonds, defensive plays like PM, some foreign picks. I kind of lost my taste for shorting, which leaves little to do. Or, perhaps, go back to shorting - it seems to be the easy play. Placing hard stop - and quickly moving to breakeven or better - makes it relatively safe.
