I have two stocks that are non-operating oil companies, they own the land mineral royalties ( VTS, and,NOG .

They pay out the profits at a favorable tax rate as dividends.

Their dividends are all about free cash flow and taxed as dividends - brilliant business model at a low tax rate.

Most do not understand mineral rights. You can sell the land but still retain the mineral rights.

The dividends they pay are 9-11 percent.

They have very conservative expenses, and pay the free cash flow as dividends.

Major stockholders are wealthy owners of the shares.

Ride on the tails of the wealthy, eh?
