I was hypothesizing in that post, and either scenario, another scenario, or none of the above could apply. With regard to the fantasy part, there is the possibility of transference, meaning that all of what Monica said on the tape took place, but with a man or men other than the President.
Presidents come and go. The Paulas and Monicas will always be with us, as will the Walshes and The Starrs. There will always be wars and dalliances and rumors of wars and dalliances.
What do I believe in this current event? I've not given it much thought beyond a personal abiding disgust with the media. What it's really all about is what the media choose to tell us and how they choose to slant it, and, to me, that is the most frightening part of all of this and the thing most worthy of national attention and concern and, of course, remediation. I too feel a little ill.
