More drone innovation in Ukraine

Ukraine Once Again Innovates with Drones and Returns to Its Successful Defensive Approach

Weeks ago, I wrote that Pokrovsk would be a turning point in the war, precisely because it would symbolize Ukraine’s ability to defend itself against a drone force larger than its own.

At that time, and still today, Ukrainians face an imbalance in fiber-optic drones, dealing with issues ranging from the quality of domestically produced cannons to difficulties obtaining Chinese supplies.

Everything seemed critical for Ukraine until they once again innovated with drones that use four control channels simultaneously.

The equipment now operates on frequencies 463, 952, 2278, and 2680 MHz with four controls, making Russian jamming efforts much more challenging.

Reinforcements moved to Pokrovsk, along with the four-channel drones and the city’s underground tunnels, prompting the Russians to switch focus to other fronts, repositioning troops away from Pokrovsk.

The Russians have realized that the key isn’t just troop numbers, as Ukrainian forces have been fighting there for months with relatively low troop levels.

In this scenario, the Russians continue redeploying forces away from southern Pokrovsk.
The 90th Tank Division has been moved south of Ivanivka-Novopavlivka, while the 35th, 55th, 74th, and 137th Brigades have been sent to Novopavlivka.

Despite these movements, at least 25 brigades remain in the Pokrovsk region. However, it appears that Russia aims to exploit Ukrainian vulnerabilities by reigniting other fronts after deploy a significant number of troops to the frontline in Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia.

Although Russian advances persist, Ukrainians are celebrating having held back the Russian push in Sumy and Pokrovsk, while increasing attacks on Russian refineries.

In recent weeks, Russia has responded forcefully to damage to its refineries, launching relentless attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure. mainly thermal power plants, gas depots, and large factories.

The trend suggests that both sides will continue destroying each other’s energy infrastructure.
