Bill and Hillary seem to deserve each other, but really, the part about the "right-wing conspiracy" was so audacious and laughable that I still chuckle about that. She reminded me of a small child who feels cornered and powerless, and therefore let her mind attach itself to the first possible defense that came into her head. I honestly believe that she made that up right there on the spot. The spontaneous way she said it seemed genuinely free thought, which was a refreshing change from what we normally hear from the rest of the Clinton team, which is carefully calculated "spin" "designed" to appeal to the masses. In her position, Hillary could have said anything and nobody would have said boo.
Oh I know, I've read reports that Hillary is directing traffic there now, but what choice does she have. She knows Bill is a spineless whimp, and I wouldn't be surprised if Bill has insisted on his innocence even in private with Hillary. Besides, Bill is the one who is President, he's the one who was elected, and so Bill bears FULL responsibilities for ALL the current actions and strategies by the White House. It's a sad day if people can get away with blaming their wives for their own poor judgement, misguided senses of duty, etc. Bill is the one who is under investigation, etc., and so he should remain the focus. |
