So, I have a supposition for you -- Suppose you were given ultimate power over Starr's investigation -- let's say you are Janet Reno, or simply just have a magic wand. Would you remove Ken Starr from the investigation, because he's too "pahtisan", his staffers are too "tainted", etc?

Too late now, and I'm not sure it'd ever have served a purpose. I think that if I were Reno I wouldn't have given him permission for the sting operation on Lewinsky, on the grounds that the question of whether he had an affair with her had nothing whatsoever to do with Whitewater, which is what he's supposed to be investigating. Whether he lied under oath to Paula Jones's lawyers is also unrelated to Whitewater. If it were to be investigated, or he to be prosecuted, it should be done by someone else.

I don't think Starr is evil or dishonest, but he's become obsessed, and that's dangerous.
