I just don't know. Seems to me it would be prudent to start hedging some portion of your investment from the first moment you knew your conversion terms were set. The way I understand it the common way of doing so is by selling shares from somewhere outside of the U.S. since this type of short interest isn't necessarily reported.

Someone experienced in these matters could even have a mathematical formula which guided them day by day as to the best bet at optimizing their investment.
