Totally agree, lying birds of a feather boink together.... It's conceivable that compulsive liars are attracted to each other, or at least don't find the habit objectionable. I was quite struck when reading Elena Bonner's memoir of her childhood as a member of the Stalinist elite to discover that she was amazed, as she got to know Andrei Sakharov, to learn that he didn't tell lies. She said she'd always assumed that everyone lied about most things most of the time, as she did. Strange, isn't it? I find Bonner occasionally tiresome, but she's not an evil person...
