Oh. I see. So you're saying Ken Starr has the right to subpoena anyone he damn pleases, anyone in the country, anyone in the entire world, who's met Bill Clinton and therefore might know something about, well, something. Anything.

Truly frightening. You're talking police state stuff here.

Listen closely: Starr's job is to investigate Whitewater. His brief was extended to "Travelgate". A mistake in my view. But he was NOT hired to investigate Clinton's sexual habits.

Nor was he hired simply to sniff around in the hope of coming up with some dirt. Think about it: if somebody with $30 million to spend began to root around in YOUR life, just what do you imagine might happen?
