Dwight,
Janice has probably left us for the evening, as it is way after midnight in Italy, so I will take the liberty of defining pejorative as meaning belittling and disparaging. What gets Rush into trouble with most of us is his partisan humor. When Letterman or Leno or others do their pejorative humor routines, they don't play political favorites. Everybody gets lambasted without fear or favor.
Sure Starr serves under Clinton's Attorney General select, and so did Walsh serve under Reagan's. These menaces still are self-serving demagogues, to my point of view, and unworthy of any attaboy or job well done accolades.
With reference to gun control, at the time the Constitution was framed, I believe the common firearm of that day was single-shot muscats, or some such. Now we have Uzis and their brethren. Additionally, society is now a very different animal than it was during the 1700s. But again, I can argue both sides of this issue with equal conviction, for a lot of reasons. Maybe we should start a separate thread for this topic.
