While generally it is true that Alzheimer's is diagnosed at onset by eliminating other possibilities, I think his condition is fairly well established now through observing his symptoms. I don't think the press was terribly remiss in not catching it during his term in office. It is a gradual process. My point really was that Morris made the point that his decline came after his wounding, and I would just say that the causality is not necessarily established, as the progress of the disease could be coincident and independent of these kinds of factors.
