Serafino, I think that Data Race is very likely a year ahead on this,
which should certainly go towards capturing the early market and
therefore quite possibly setting a standard. We need to remember that
Les Staples, CTO of Data Race, has been the US delegate to the ITU
conferences in Geneva where these types of international standards
are set.

We have seen written that they have the idea(s) patent pending already,
and I would say that their protection depends on how broad the patents are.
As noted, it would take another company quite a bit of time to develop
something that could possibly skirt the patent issues. Also of not was back
when Data Race got the TI Modem contracts it was partially due to USRX
saying that they could probably develop something with the same features
but it might take them a year to do so - for a notebook modem!

Not to mention that by being "First to Market" has a certain amount
of self-advertising potential in itself. Curious is the fact that
Data Race does not seem to want to advertise or show this product
publicly while we have mention of the Fortune 100 deliveries coming.
Could it be that the company already has a boatload of orders?
Could this also mean that once the early product is shipped and some
is out in the public domain that they will begin to produce it at
mass rates using contract production facilities? Might explain that
$1.80 EPS figure.
