Actually no Duncan. I believe in subsidies for farmers; only if those subsidies are
beneficial to society as a whole. Free Trade can only bring out the worst excesses of
our current capitalist system. There has to be some checks and balances or there will
be no more middle class left. I believe in a minimum wage; albeit one that should be at
least twice as high. I believe in Universal Health Care...
I also believe that government can and should be much smaller. Too many special
interest groups have helped create a bloated, ineffectual central government, both in the
U.S and Canada. Government should be leaner and meaner. Right now big business
rules the roost. The average citizen has little or no say in what really happens.
Ideally, if the average voter had more say, we would all be freer, and government
would be smaller. Let's just say until things change I am an Authoritarian Libertarian.
once things change next century I will then become more of a liberal Libertarian.
