I was a bit hasty and careless in my wording. Clinton lied before he gave testimony. It was during testimony that he admitted to lying previously. Therefore he didn't lie under oath but he did admit to lying while under oath. Therefore he is still a liar. This seems to me a rather labored argument. What would YOU do if someone asked you pointblank whether you'd slept with someone? Someone that you had in fact slept with? Whether it was advisable to keep it a secret or not? Much is also made of the fact that he supposedly asked her to lie about their supposed affair. Well gee, I guess that in his place I'd just have said: "Gennifer, PLEASE, PLEASE give a press conference and tell the world about it!"
