Which brings us to what is the crux of the Lewinsky/Jones connection, (yes, there is one) . Forgetting your personal bias toward the Jones case, please recognize the President is charged with sexual harassment and this charge makes it necessary for the attorneys' for Jones' to prove the case by showing a pattern of rewarding those who were willing participants and passing over those who were not. If that can be established, then it can be argued that Clinton created a hostile work environment for those women who were not "compliant". I believe this gives basis to the "harassment" claim. Unfortunately, Janice in sexual harassment cases, SEX is involved, therefore questions regarding the SEX practices of the defendant are pertinent, at least to the extent of involving subordinates in the work place. So while you may not care about whether Clinton lies about his sexual activities, the courts do. Which brings us now to the real issue of lying under oath and suborning perjury. Something I do care about, and so should you. |
