Paul... Look in any newspaper and you'll see PCs advertised; 233MhZ, big HDs, fast modems, etc. without Intel Inside! AMD, Cyrix, etc. Don't you think just competition and the end of INTC's virtual monopoly is a lot of the problem? Also, the trend towards JIT box building started by the mail order PC makers and now utilized by the super stores has had to had a negative affect on chip sales ... no? Intel has problems but the industry is still strong. Now the portable phone market ... that is more of a problem for board makers, especially in Europe. I don't worry about Intel,
