More concerning the actors in WH assault on Willey:
Willey Contacted Numerous Times But ABC News Correspondent Jackie Judd has learned that Landow contacted Willey numerous times in the weeks before and after she was deposed under oath in the Paula Jones case. Willey also is reported to have been flown by private plane to Landow's estate on Oct. 6, 1997, according to Newsweek magazine. During her two-day visit there, the two discussed her testimony in the Jones lawsuit against the president, a source familiar with Willey's recent grand jury testimony told the magazine. Willey claimed Landow urged her to say "nothing happened" between her and the president and that she was offered a Christmas shopping trip to New York, the source said. However, in a telephone interview, Landow told a different story. He described Willey as a distant acquaintance whom he infrequently spoke to over the past five years. He claimed that until ABCNEWS informed him, he didn't even know Willey had been subpoenaed or deposed by lawyers for Jones. Yet Landow also said that he had told Willey it was a "damned shame" she had become a part of the controversy. Landow claims that his daughter, Harolyn, a White House volunteer in the social office, first introduced him to Willey who also was volunteering. Harolyn is married to attorney Michael Cardozo, who ran Clinton's first legal defense fund. After learning last December about Willey needing back surgery, he offered his sympathies. "I may have said," he told Newsweek, "If I could do anything to help you, let me know." abcnews.com
