Lawyers as a whole are no more self serving than any other group of people. That is a sweeping generalization which is unjustified and unfair to a lot of lawyers like myself. Its like saying that all Italians are winos. What we need to do is be very much more selective about the people we hire for elective office. And we need to judge politicians on a case by case basis just as we judge other people. There are good and bad. It just so happens that the bar is set very low at present. Whose fault is that? JLA
