Yes I agree, the lawyers I am speaking of are a minority.

Let me give you an example of greed.

An employee of one of our customers gets hurt on a piece of machinery that we sold SIXTY years ago. The injured employee sees a lawyer and the lawyer tells him he can sue the OEM for product liability. Even if the customer removed the safety devices and radically modified the machine. Most of these cases never go to trial. The insurance company usually pays off to get rid of another nuisance suit. Even though the employee was compensated for his injury and lost wages by workers comp. the lawyers want to get involved to line their own pockets. And of course the lawyer lawmakers make sure there is no statute of limitations on product liability.

How would you like to be sued for something you did 60 years ago even though what you did was legal and acceptable at the time?
