over the next nine years. If anyone know's of a company with more

OCALA, Fla., Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- WestAmerica Corporation
(Nasdaq: WACC) announced today that its proposed 500-unit destination resort
timeshare development near Disney World in Orlando will generate gross sales
volume of $357,511,750 and profit after interest and before taxes of
$127,368,525 over a nine-year period, according to a feasibility analysis by a
leading independent consulting firm for the timeshare industry.
In its detailed 213-page feasibility analysis, RCI Consulting, Inc., of
Eugene, Oregon, concluded that "the sales pace of the (WestAmerica) project
should be rapid and the resulting profit should be significant." The report
went on to suggest that the project could even be larger based on "the
seemingly insatiable demand for resort timeshare" in the Orlando area.
The study estimated that under current market conditions, the proposed
500-unit timeshare development generating 25,500 one-week intervals would cost
a total of $94,096,158 over the nine year sales period.
The timeshare development's profits, before interest, on consumer loans
would be $78,288,852, according to the RCI study. With consumer interest
calculated at the national average timeshare receivable rate of 14.5 percent,
the estimated profit before taxes, would be $127,368,525, the study said.
WestAmerica recently announced that it has signed a purchase agreement to
acquire a 285-acre site, located on U.S. Highway 27, approximately 4 miles
south of U.S. Highway 192 and 4 miles north of Federal Interstate Highway 4.
The property is within easy driving distance of all major tourist attractions
in the Greater Orlando area, including Walt Disney World, Sea World, Universal
Studios, and the Orlando Convention Center.
