Patrick, I wasn't even going to jump in here until your most recent message since I have already expressed my opinion. I don't think we will see psft failing to meet earnings expectations anywhere in the near term. BTW, by meeting expectations I am actually talking about the normal exceeding them by .02 approximately. Next to MSFT, I feel PSFT manages this better than most companies in this industry. I also know that I have read this somewhere previously. How many companies do you know that can consistently do this quarter after quarter after quarter?? Of course, one could take the negative view and assume that sooner or later they won't. But why sit around waiting for that to happen when it doesn't appear to be on the horizon?

With respect to $10, I am surprised you would even publish that statement here. If you had said 40 or even 30, I would not even have responded since this is not out of the realm of possibility. But $10???? That would mean losing 80% of it current value. Even with ORCL's dismal performance the stock didn't drop 80% and at the time they were not saying it was only a one quarter problem either. Don't you think it would take a total disaster for this to happen? My only point here is that I think you should temper your enthusiasm for shorting and having a balanced portfolio with some reality about the stocks you are shorting. I won't even disagree with you and say that is never a time to short PSFT because I know that isn't true. I have one question for you though. Have you predetermined a price at which you will cover this short? If so, I would be interested in knowing what this is simply from a curiosity perspective.
Melissa
